Short Mat Bowls
Short mat bowls is a shorter version of the full length game of bowls, played on a portable carpet, 40’ to 45’ (12.2 to 13.7m) long x 6’ (1.83m) wide that can be rolled up and stored when not in use.
Short mat bowling is enjoyed by men and women, young and old, the able bodied and those with disabilities.
The game can be played in almost any room providing there is sufficient space and the floor is reasonably flat.
Normal bowls are used for this version of the game.
The weight of a mat is approximately 45kg.
The diameter of a fully rolled mat is 24” (61cm).
